Analysis and characterization of materials at the nano- and microscale

The company was launched in 2012 by 3 researchers with the business idea to provide clients with in-depth characterization of their complex, specialized materials.The company address a wide range of materials challenges:
? Assess peptide and protein aggregation in protein therapeutics
? Improve production, processing and characterization of nanoparticles
? Improve the yield of recombinant proteins
? Tailor the production and properties of biopolymers for enhanced functionality
? Develop and formulate an emulsion-based commercially available product
? Characterize powders by comprehensive wet and dry particle analysis

The company have many years of experience characterizing nanoparticles such as gold and silver nanoparticles, silica and amorphous silica, core-shell nanoparticles, coated nanoparticles, iron oxide nanoparticles, non-spherical nanoparticles and environmental colloids.

They offer their expertise and characterisation as a service agreement or as partner in e.g. H2020 or Eurostar?s research projects. The service on offer includes:

Contract analysis
A customized contract analysis services where they identify and use only the equipment needed and the flexibility to determine the direction of the study. The laboratory is set up with specialized, state-of-the art characterization instrumentations and detection systems to provide world class solutions.

GLP Studies
GLP certification is under preparation. However, the already offer analyses in a nearly GLP-implemented environment together with a external QA audit.

Aggregation studies
A major concern in manufacturing protein biopharmaceuticals is their propensity to form aggregates. Regulatory agencies, such as FDA, now require data from orthogonal aggregation assessment methods, such as AF4 and AUC, to help assess the conventional SEC methods.

The company provide consultation and conduct studies for innovative technologies from their own modern research facility. They has a wide experience of material science and material understanding, food/functional food science and product development, emulsions and foams, synthetic polymers and biopolymers etc.
