Fluorine free firefighting foam

A technology incubator for an Israeli chemical company seeks a fluorine free surfactant, stabilizer or other additive as an alternative to fluorosurfactans in firefighting foam concentrates (AFFF).

Fire Fighting foam concentrate is a complex formulation of different solvents, surfactants and other additives. AFFF is a special type of Fire Fighting foam concentrate which contains fluorosurfactants and fluoropolymers in the formulation. Fluorosurfactants reduce surface tension, give the oleophobic effect to the foam and make it heat resistant. We are currently looking for fluorine free alternatives in order to expand our product line.

Identified technologies that meet the Israeli's company basic criteria explained here above, will receive funding to mature the technology if required, or be considered for licensing.
