Nanogate announced as latest TactoTek licensee

Finland-based TactoTek, specialised in injection moulded structural electronics (IMSE) solutions, announced 30 Jan that it has licensed its proprietary IMSE technology to Nanogate, global specialist for design-oriented high-tech surfaces and components. Nanogate will launch its first IMSE manufacturing facility in Austria, where the company already produces IML parts for automotive customers. Nanogate is among the ‘first-movers’ and will be a ‘preferred mass production partner’, said Jussi Harvela, TactoTek CEO.

According to the statement issued by the TactoTek the technology transfer is underway, and Nanogate expects to be IMSE Ready for mass production by the end of 2019. 

Nanogate, which is headquartered in Germany, currently has 10 factories:  six in Germany, and one in each of Austria, Slovakia, the Netherlands and Ohio, USA. The company develops intelligent surfaces for a range of markets, including automotive, home appliances, consumer electronics, aviation and medical
